It’s funny how time and experience changes you into someone you never thought you’d be.
If you’d have told me when I started the parenting journey five years ago that one day I publishing a blog entitled “I’ve gone green”, my first response would have been;
“A what?”
Followed by “eh?”
Should you then have commented that the blog content would contain a picture of my third child in a ‘real’ nappy my response again would have been;
“Third child, are you a fool? I’m knackered enough with two’
Quickly followed by;
“Real nappies? You is having a giggle my dear I only use ones which are one wear only.”
But jump in Marty Mcflys’ Delorean and enter 2011 and here I am breastfeeding, co sleeping, baby wearing and now going green by moving into real nappies.
As you can see BB is not complaining as she starts her eco-friendly journey.
How times change eh? But also I have to hold my hand up, I was wrong about re wearable nappies, nowt wrong with them at all in my opinion; and my move from Pampers to cloth came just in time for The Gallery this week.

Great interpretation! And good on you!
Why thanks x
brave woman. brave. 🙂
Hehe!
I’m glad to hear reusables aren’t scary. I’ve agreed to do the Real Nappy Challenge for a week and am already having visions of buckets full of shitty nappies dotted around the house. But if it saves money, I’m all for it! x
Oh let me know how you get on… I love mine x
You’ll be head to foot in hemp the next time I see you.
sweet pictures of BB, Gina Ford would be completely green if she read this probably with bile rather than envy! how times change!
Lol! X
Great variation of the theme! Very sweet pics too! Emma 🙂
Any excuse to put on photos of BB! 🙂
What a great interpretation! Are the nappies good? I’ve always wanted to try them, but never been brave enough. x
You know I think they are great, so bloody easy it really surprised me.
Fantastic! I’m a bit of a greenie too, so I’m really pleased you are getting on well with reusable nappies; cute photo!
Thanks x
I used reuseables for the girls, but by the time DS rolled off the production line, I had run out of enthusiasm.
I still feel a bit guilty about that so it’s good to see more people using them.
I used non reusables for the others so feel you have done better than me!
Oh sweet, she looks thrilled about her role in the going green theme!
she is very excited!
I’ve got loads of re-usable nappies in every colour, but I don’t use them often enough ;(
Oh I only have white *nappy envy* 🙂
Great interpretation- and very well done on going green! I wish I could but I admit I am too lazy.

Fab! I think I will consider re useable nappies when I have a third. They are rather lovely actually!
I can vouch for mio bambino x
Great post!

Wonderful interpretation and lovely to see green nappies. I wish I had used them but cost etc put me off. Well done you.

Love my reusables, slightly sad to be Potty Training this week but going in the cellar for number two. High on my shopping list is new fluff. Its addictive! If you need a shopping list my faves are Itti Bitti Snap in Ones and Bambooty’s.
Fab thanks x
Great take on the theme and well done. I gave up on them after the fifth time the mini one wee’d on Hubby
