Beautiful Things….

It’s not often that I have moments of serenity, where I feel calm and very much at peace with myself and my chosen life.

Often I feel like I am dashing from one task to the next, planning the next big thing and pouting a little about the stuff I thought I would have done or achieved by this point in my life.

Yet today I cycled behind my family in the rain, he who helped create them led, followed by a super confident twin boy, a slow but steady twin girl and BB brought up the rear from her seat behind mine.  We rode in the woods dodging rain drops and silence surrounded us; from my place at the back I couldn’t see the smiles that I felt spreading across everyone’s faces.  For that moment I knew we were creating memories and happiness was swarming round us.

The next time I am chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow I will try to remember the quiet in the woods.

Todays post leads me quite perfectly onto my latest review and giveaway.

I was lucky enough to be contacted by Spotty Button, a simply glorious website full of chic home accessories which look rather fabulous in the home which only help to aid my rare feelings of calm and peace.

I was sent a selection of items to review including my favourite large red wooden hanging heart.

How stunning is this?

and how cute is this lovely flower enamel keyring.

To be honest the whole site is filled with stunning accessories for the home, garden and even the upcoming fathers day

Spotty Button is somewhere you need to bookmark for that unique gift, pretty present or pick me up for yourself.  And if he who helped create them happens to be reading this I highly advise he makes it a google favourite.

As I was sent some excellent items to review I thought I would share a couple with my readers and run a mini competition.  The double prize is a fabulous envirosax multi spot eco bag and…

and a kids giraffe drawstring bag…

To enter all you need to do is leave a comment telling me what your favourite product is on Spotty Buttons site.  If you want to go for a bonus entry then feel free to tweet the following;

 ‘I entered the lovely @spottybutton competition on @northernmum1 blog http://northernmum.wordpress.com/2011/06/05/beautiful-things/’

…but for goodness sake leave me an extra comment saying you have done so or if not I get confused (and quickly)

Good luck,

northernmum

  2. Here to give ur competition some love 🙂 Can I only choose 1 thing??? Love the stasia slippers but I think if I had to pick only one it’ll have to be the three tier cake stand.
