We are still believers.
We don’t think the chap at the Christmas fair with elastic cutting at his ears is the real deal anymore. We accept that he is one of Santa’s drinking buddies who is helping him out whilst he is busy in the workshop.
We are not completely convinced about the chimney entry route but we can’t offer a plausible alternative so we are running with it at the moment.
But we struggle with Live Aid.
Because Father Christmas goes to everyone doesn’t he?
So why will their greatest gift be life? Doesn’t he give them toys? Does Father Christmas hate people who live in Africa?
Why don’t they know it is Christmas time at all?
We get the no snow bit because they live way too far from the North Pole for snow at Christmastime.
We believe that Santa makes all the presents with his elves for good boys and girls but we are confused about why some stuff says 3 for 2 on it in little blue stickers…
And doesn’t Cadbury’s make chocolate, how does that work with the elves?
But we are believers, albeit slightly confused…
And mummy gets a headache in the car when we ask all these questions….
Can anyone else answer them?
Twin Boy and Twin Girl – still believers!
I had very similar questions last year, and can’t remember what I said. There is no good answer really is there? Good luck 😉
I need it! x
I always say : ” ask daddy ” !!! We are believers and having Christmas in England one year then the next in Denmark do lead to some weird stories but so far we still believe:)
I hope we get a few more years!
I suspect you might not be believers next year (just a hunch).
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Oh boy! This could be the last Xmas Santa makes a sooty entrance down the chimney!
*buries head in sand*
Was thinking the same when I heard it myself the other day and was relieved the children didn’t mention it! xx
stupid song!
I had this today – Mummy what’s a virgin?
*cough cough* ask your dad!
LOL!
Uh oh…can you distract them with an early Xmas prezzy?
Distracted!
If I remember rightly, once my son realised that it was probably all made-up, he became rather quiet with his questions, worried that once he stopped believing the presents might stop.
Have been reading your previous posts: hope 2013 is a much better year for you. You’ll be pleased to see the back of this year. xxx
Thanks trish x
