My tan is still prominent from France, but already I am keen to be near the beach again. Desperate to feel the sand underfoot, and the sun on my back.
Luckily I don’t have too long to wait.
For at the end of August we will be returning to our spiritual home. To the beauty of Cornwall, the calmness of Crantock, to the tranquilityof Trevella.
It will be our third trip in as many years to Trevella, which I think is testament enough to our love of the Cornish resort.
As always Trevella means family time, it doesn’t have kids clubs, or a bustling evening entertainment guide. Instead the resort focuses on simple pleasures, adventures by the sea, bbq by candlelight.
My fondest memory from last year was watching the sunset from our safari tent as the children played cricket in the dimming light.
This year I hope to watch the sunrise from the South West Coastal Path.
We all have things we long to do again and try for the first time when we return to Cornwall.
My adventure seeking twins want to finally ride the zip wire at the Eden project. He who helped create them is ready to shake the cobwebs off his crabbing net to catch some more beasts down on Crantock Bay.
For me, I want to learn to surf and have lessons booked. BB simply wants to return to see Swampy, at Crealy Great Adventure Park.
A week won’t be long enough, although it will be fantastic.
If you are planning a trip to Cornwall this summer and want a cornwall adventure then check out this great list of things to do that Trevella have compiled.
How many do you reckon we will get through?
Disclosure: we have been invited back to Trevella in August to explore more of the Cornish wonderland. We can’t wait to tell you all about it.
