Moilets-et-Maa – The perfect place to turn 40

My holiday with Summer France is only days away.  I cannot wait to get to the villa, lay out by the pool and relax.

However, I have the slight problem that my wardrobe does not reflect the sophistication of the area I am visiting.

Myself and five friends are off to Moilet-et-Maa in France for a week of adventures, good food and wine (and seven second vodkas).  For those who don’t know Moilet is known for its watersports and activities – making it the perfect place for me to spend my 40th birthday.    Plus they have vineyards in the sand, and you can buy Vin De Sable by the carafe…

The area offers golfing, surfing, boogie boarding, kayaking, horse riding, stand up paddle boarding and sailing.  Plus a multitude of hiking trials across Aquitaine – so we are not going to be bored if the weather doesn’t play nice.

This holiday is meant to celebrate my 40th, and ensure that getting older doesn’t mean I am less active.  And it is these lovely ladies that I am escaping to paradise with…

There is also an Adrenaline Park which the girls don’t know about yet – but am sure they will be as excited as me once they realise I plan to drag them to it…

 

But come the evening Moilets is renown for a cultural ambiance, and fantastic seafood restaurants.  My mouth is already watering at all the fish I am going to consume (ideally in the evening rather than when surfing.)

I have been recommended to try  Pizza Dinner at Le Transat when we need a night off fish, put when we want fresh oysters to check out Hotel Grille l’Ocean.

Plus as well as taking the girls to the high ropes, I am planning on whisking them to the Meltin’ Bar on the beach at nighttime to sample some of their amazing cocktails, and maybe one night dancing our socks off at the night club Le Triangle d’Or.

So back to the wardrobe.

I have got the day time range sorted (swimsuit and wetsuit), but need to do some serious work on my night-time glamour.

Luckily Esprit have come to the rescue.

The weather is going to be similiar to England, but hopefully much less rain.  I think these dresses could work in the evening.

So an online shop has been done, my excitement levels are soaring.

The plan for our week with Summer France looks like this…

Fly in on Wednesday, go explore our gorgeous 5 bedroom villa courtesy of Summer France , then head out for a belated birthday dinner on the beach.

Thursday we are hitting the waves, with a lesson, or we may come back with less of us, am thinking chill out time at the villa in the afternoon, and cocktails on the beach Thursday night.

The adventure continues on Friday with horse riding, swimming at the villa and general relaxation.

The rest of the week involves more cocktails, some running, lots of cycling and a spa day (and hopefully the High Ropes!)

All of which I shall be perfectly clothed for.
