It always amazes me how beautiful Britain is, and this thought reoccured to me several times as I drove to the New Forest this morning.
When not meandering on a motorway, the roads opened up a paradise of picturesque fields and wild forests. Gently ambling across the southern moors were wild horses, picking their through the moss, living a life without saddles.
Even the kids raised their heads momentarily from their tablet of choice to grin and wave at the ponies.
Our car was full to bursting, packed with all the necessities needed for five days away from home. Stuffed toys were crammed into crevices between suitcases, bags of food were crushed under children’s feet. My co pilot for the trip, my mum, Sat in the front, buried under writing pads, books and snacks for the road.
Our destination?
This week we are staying and reviewing Oakdene holiday park, situated in the heart of the New Forest.
We have a series of adventures planned, from pirate parties to canoeing. And day trips planned to Paultons Park and Beaulieu motor home.
The kids are excited, my mother and I are exhausted in advance.
And guess who forgot to pack the wine…..
Have a fab time! X
Thanks

They sell wine in the new forest. The knackered mother of wine club fame lives there.
